‘Hello! I am the Church Leader and have been in post since May 2017.
Many changes have taken place in that time, not least to the sanctuary itself, with the removal of pews and the installation of a unisex toilet as well as a café area.
Much more important though, is what a warm, welcoming, non-judgemental church we are. We don’t just say it, we do it! Everyone is welcome here – especially you!’

I’ve been a member of Abbey Hill Church for yonks! Can’t remember the exact year I joined but at least 35 years ago and I’ve been an Elder for about 2 years.
What drew me to The Church was its non-judgmental, welcoming attitude, which has remained constant and continues to grow over the years.
Jesus always welcomed everyone and if that was a good enough approach for him then it’s jolly well good enough for us!

I came to Abbey Hill in November 2009, having just moved to the town, and immediately felt at home as I walked in through the door.
In 2010 my membership was transferred. I became a manager after a year and became an Elder in 2013 and then church secretary in early 2015 from which I stepped down in December 2020.
I rejoined the Eldership in January 2023.
